Blockbuster to Sell $10 Unlimited Rental Weeks this Summer
In a bid to outdo both Netflix and bolster high fructose corn syrup use, Blockbuster will be offering a chance for kids and jobless teens/adults to escape for weeks at a time, to a land of unmitigated video gaming, powersnacking and movie watching.Catheters, diapers and an IV push of caffeine, protein and liquid sugar will cost extra, but for a measly ten dollars, you can join the Blockbuster Summer Escape, but there's a catch.
Pay $10 and you'll get unlimited movie and video game rentals for a week, but you can only rent one movie or game at a time. What? Why can't I rent 7 games and 7 videos at one time? Gizmodo's Mark Wilson said it best: "But if you live across the street from a Blockbuster or something, you could make a lot of trips to the all-you-can-watch media buffet."
Me, I'm going to stick with streaming Netflix to my Xbox 360. Going to the video store is like sooo antiquated, ya know?
