Though it looks and sounds a whole lot like yet another generic holiday-themed slash-fest, April Fool’s Day manages to transcend its sorry sub-genre through the use of well-placed humour and a screenplay that actually offers a few new twists on the ...read the complete April Fool's Day movie review at Apollo Guide (Scott Weinberg)

Unlike the glut of paint-by-numbers slashers spilling off video store shelves in the mid-'80s, April Fool's Day is willing to take a few chances. Though the lack of grue and its overall light tone might not sit well with some genre completists, I'd be ...read the complete April Fool's Day movie review at DVD Talk (Adam Tyner)

After the successes of Halloween (1978) and Friday the 13th (1980), 1980s slasher filmmakers started to comb every available holiday as a potential title for a film. It soon became apparent after running the gamut from Christmas Evil (1980), ...read the complete April Fool's Day movie review at SF, Horror and Fantasy Film Review

There's this rich girl named Muffy, and she has a secret twin named Buffy...it doesn't get any better. Well, it's the 80's and these movies were big. This one is a slasher but no one gets killed, so what then do you call it, a metaphor? I think so, this film gets a high rating from me because of the characters, the story(or plot). And the original concept. ...

Ok, I won't give away it's secret here, but this is one prank that turned deadly or did it? It is a very fun horror, who done it flick of the 80s. I thought that it was done very well and you were not expecting the ending at all. When the ending did ...

I've seen this movie so many times - it has that classic cheezy 80s feel & a great twist - perfect for get-togethers with friends. It's Scary, Sexy, and FUN! And if you like it, consider checking out "Valley Girl" - another Deborah Foreman ...

What can I say? It's not the best film ever made, but it is a lot of fun. It starts out as your basic slasher film; good looking young people on an isolated island get killed one by one. Then you get to the ending, which breaks out of the formula. A ...
