When David (Luke Wilson) and Amy Fox’s (Kate Beckinsale) car breaks down driving late one night. They find a rundown, shady motel nearby where they decide to stay the night. With limited choices for entertainment they discover several unlabeled films in their room. The tapes depict several couples and young women brutally beaten and killed. While watching, they realize the films took place in the very room they’re staying in. Determined not to be stars of the next horror film, David and Amy do everything in their power to get out alive.
