This classic Christmas movie takes place at the end of WW II where two performing Officers, Bob Wallace (Bing Crosby) and Phil Davis (Danny Kaye), return from war and team up with to performing sisters Betty Haynes (Rosemary Clooney) and Judy Haynes (Vera-Ellen). When they decide to go to Vermont the discover the lodge that they are performing at is owned by Bob and Phil’s former commander, General Waverly (Dean Jagger), who is having financial difficulties at the time. The four performers decide to help the General and do a performance to help raise money.
