Twilight DVD Available Friday at Midnight

The Twilight movie will be released on Friday night/Saturday. I wonder if there will be a surge in big screen TV sales because millions of screaming little girls will be dying to watch Twilight again and again in their homes and will want to see every one of Robert Pattinson's pores, just so they don't miss any details or any of Edward's glory. You thought Twilight mania was bad when the movie hit theaters, but when you hear about all the plans for the DVD release, it's very apparent Edwarditis is back in full force.



The most preordered DVD in Wal-Mart's history, the vampire saga is coming with a lot of hype. So Wal-Mart has decided to capitalize on it. Not only are they hosting release parties, they are opening temporary Twilight Shops for fans to purchase gear for viewing parties; hosting late-night blood drives - no vampires will be present so the blood will be donated to the red cross; and, lastly, Wal-Mart also has a website dedicated to the movie where you can get on and send eBits to your friends. We did it, it's actually kind of gross. You can upload any picture of yourself or friends and then put bloody vampire bites on their face or neck then send it to your friends inviting them to come watch Twilight 24 times in a row (back to back for the entire rest of the weekend).

Wal-Mart is also giving away prizes to the first 50 people in line at each of the participating stores. So we recommend you leave now and get in line ... although it may be too late already. Or, you can sit tight and wait for the crowds to die down and get your copy on Saturday, or even some time next week, the movie will still be around then.
