Although zombie movies have been done to death, 28 Days Later revitalizes the idea and makes it real. This movie wasn't the first to do "killer virus", but it was the first to do it right. The deadly virus in this movie, Rage, is like an exaggerated form of the Rabies virus, and I find that very cool. Rage doesn't turn dead people into slow-moving, half-rotted corpses like other zombie movies; instead, it turns them into ravenous animals ready to hunt you. On top of the new theme, this movie also offers more than just zombie horror. It is a true escape horror where all sorts of enemies are around the corner.
