The film is decent for what is advertised, Johnny Depp as a criminal and Christian Bale hunting him down. However, the overall film is hurt by director Michael Mann's constant use of a shakey camera making some scenes really incoherent. The acting is decent. Christian Bale gives an Oscar worthy performace while Depp is average as John Dillinger and Cotillard is down-right terrible as Dillinger's love interest. The story seems to at times spin in circles and deviates from realism to action for no real reason. Decent film but definatly not for everyone. AMT78
