Not quite Borat, but still hilarious filmmaking.

With Bruno, Sacha Baron Cohen set out to expose the ugly side of the celebrity world- ripe with vanity, shallow behavior and multitudes of ironies. In my opinion, this film loses some of the charm that we found in Borat- Bruno is more about outrageous, crude behavior and "shock-value" laughs. In Borat, yes, there was definitely many shocking images, but it seemed Sacha Baron Cohen was more keen on seeing what would happen, in Bruno he focuses more directly on making people look foolish and seeing how they react. Despite this, Bruno is definitely a terrific watch, provided you can handle some very graphic imagery.
