Shaun of the Dead stars Shaun, a typical office worker striving to keep the peace with his best friend, his roommate, his girlfriend, and his parents. This becomes hard for Shaun to keep his social life alive when everybody's, well, dead. Part of the humor of this movie comes from the lack of seriousness of the characters as they fight off the hordes of undead. The movie gets a bit serious around the end, but it all works out for the best. This movie served as a great introduction for Simon Pegg to the mainstream and spawned many funny comedies thereafter.
