Seems like the beginning for Pixar

I don't have all the historical mumbo-jumbo, but from a general fan's perspective of movies, this one seems to be the seedling of Pixar's development into animated movies. It gets an A+ for just that; plus, the movie had a solid plot, multiple thematic levels (which many people could connect with in many ways) and a good, dynamic character development.
